Prof associato mal apparato respiratorio Università di Pavia in convenzione con Fondazione IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo dal 1991 al 2024. Dal 2000 incaricata di FU pazienti trapiantati al polmone e candidati al trapianto, responsabile di UOS Transplant Center presso il San Matteo. Responsabile di un laboratorio di ricerca e diagnostica delle malattie respiratorie (biologia cellulare ed immunologia). Dal 2024 Professore associato Universita di Padova in Malattie Apparato Respiratorio, in convenzione con AOPD, su Progetto di Sviluppo Attivita Assistenziale e di Ricerca in ambito di Trapianto Polmonare.
Negli ultimi 15 anni si è occupata di ricerca nell’ambito delle malattie croniche respiratorie con particolare riferimento alle condizioni fibrogeniche (fibrosi polmonare associata a malattie sistemiche reumatologiche o rigetto cronico di trapianto polmonare). Da circa 5 anni il focus della sua ricerca si è spostato sullo sviluppo di nuovi approcci terapeutici delle suddette patologie sia fondati sulla terapia cellulare che sull’approcio nanotecnologico al fine di garantire una terapia locale inalatoria targettata che consenta il raggiungimento di elevate concentrazioni di farmaco a livello di specifici effettori cellulari. Tale strategia è stata portata avanti in collaborazione con il dipartimento di Scienze del Dal 2022 Chair of Assembly 8 Thoracic Surgery and transplantation della European Respiratory Society
